What size should I choose?

The Hoka Arahi 8 has a regular fit but often feels slightly small compared with other brands. We therefore recommend choosing half a size larger than usual if you’re new to the Hoka family. If you prefer extra room, the model is also available in Wide, which provides 3–4 mm of extra width across the forefoot and instep.

Hoka shoes generally run a little small, so we find that many people choose half a size larger than in other brands. For example, if you wear size 38 in other brands, we recommend choosing size 38 2/3 in Hoka shoes. We recommend following our size guide below, which is based on how Hoka shoes fit.

Wide models
Wide models are marked "wide" in the product name and are 3-4 mm wider in the upper.

Most Hoka models fit quite similarly in length, but there are a few exceptions:

  • Hoka Bondi SR
  • Hoka Mach 6 and 7
  • Hoka Cielo X1 (2.0 & 3.0)
  • Hoka Speedgoat 7
  • Hoka Tecton X 3 and Tecton X 4
  • Hoka Rocket X 3
  • Hoka Skyward X 2
  • Hoka Speedgoat 7
  • Hoka Mach X 3
  • Hoka models with Gore-Tex (does not apply to Challenger 8 GTX)
  • Hoka lifestyle models

Haven't worn Hoka shoes before?
Then we recommend going up one full size in the models listed above.

Have you worn Hoka shoes before?
Then we recommend going up half a size in the models listed above compared with your usual Hoka size (Bondi etc.)

NOTE: Some models feel large (applies only to women's models) for these models, we recommend choosing your usual shoe size.

  • Hoka W Clifton 10
  • Hoka W Arahi 8
  • Hoka W Arahi SR
  • Hoka W Challenger 8

We recommend following our Hoka size guide:

  1. Place a measuring stick on the floor, right next to a wall.
  2. Place your foot on the measuring stick with your heel against the wall and measure the length of your foot.
  3. Use the table below to find the right size based on your measurement in cm.

Hoka Arahi 8 Wide

Stability with lightness and comfort!

Hoka Arahi 8 is here – with several long-awaited updates! It’s still the lightweight, nimble stability shoe that so many love, but now with even more comfort, an improved fit and a sense of stability that makes every step more secure than ever.

Equipped with HOKA’s new H-Frame technology, which provides support on both the inside and outside of the foot – perfect if you’re looking for a stable shoe for both running and everyday exercise. The midsole is softer than before, giving you a more comfortable feel underfoot without compromising on the reliable stability.

The sole has gained a few extra millimeters in height, and the shoe now has an 8 mm drop, giving you a more protective and dynamic feel with every stride. The breathable mesh upper comfortably wraps around the foot, and the anatomically shaped heel counter makes the shoe easy to put on and take off while being gentle on the Achilles tendon.

With a roomier toe box and improved fit, Arahi 8 is a reliable choice if you want a stable running shoe that still feels light, nimble and flexible.

This wide version offers extra room in the toe box.

Why we love it:
A stable yet lightweight shoe with updated comfort, fit and design. Whether you run, walk long distances or work on your feet, Arahi 8 keeps you comfortable and stable every step of the way.
