What size should I choose?

The HOKA Rocket X 3 has a race-focused, close-to-the-foot fit and may feel slightly small for its size.

Have you worn HOKA before?
- We recommend going up half a size compared with, for example, the Bondi 9 or Skyward X.
- Have you worn the Rocket X 2 before? Choose the same size in the Rocket X 3.

Is this your first pair of HOKA?
Haven’t worn HOKA before? We recommend going up a full size from your usual shoe size.

Fit
The Rocket X 3 has a close-to-the-foot, performance-focused fit designed for speed and racing.

Hoka shoes generally run a little small, so we find that many people choose half a size larger than in other brands. For example, if you wear size 38 in other brands, we recommend choosing size 38 2/3 in Hoka shoes. We recommend following our size guide below, which is based on how Hoka shoes fit.

Wide models
Wide models are marked "wide" in the product name and are 3-4 mm wider in the upper.

Most Hoka models fit quite similarly in length, but there are a few exceptions:

Ready for rocket speed? The Rocket X Trail is a trail racing shoe designed for speed, endurance and efficient running on gravel, packed dirt and lighter trails. It combines advanced racing design with trail features — perfect when you want the feel of a super shoe, but with a little extra grip and stability when the surface isn't asphalt.

The midsole has three layers of responsive PEBA foam and an H-shaped carbon plate that provides extra stability and forward propulsion.
The lightweight engineered mesh upper with TPU reinforcements offers optimal breathability, while the anatomical heel counter provides comfort.

With extra cushioning in the heel and a lightweight outsole with strategically placed rubber that reduces unnecessary weight while maintaining good grip
