What size should I choose?
Cielo X1 3.0 has a close-fitting feel that may run slightly small. We therefore recommend going up half a size compared to models such as Bondi 9.
- If you already own an earlier Cielo X1: Choose the same size you currently wear.
- If you're new to Hoka: We recommend going up one full size from your usual size.

Hoka Cielo X1 3.0 – Hoka's fastest supershoe for racing
Race ready? That's an understatement. The Hoka Cielo X1 3.0 is here, setting a new standard for what a racing shoe can do. As Hoka's latest flagship for road running, the shoe has undergone a complete transformation to become lighter, faster, and more responsive than ever before. This is the ultimate "supershoe" for chasing personal records from 5 km to the marathon.
Maximum responsiveness and stability
At the heart of the Cielo X1 3.0 is its advanced midsole. Combining two layers of extremely responsive PEBA foam with a full-length carbon fiber plate creates a trampoline effect that delivers tremendous propulsion with every stride.
Unlike previous versions, stability has been optimized by removing the cutout on the inside of the midsole, providing a more secure platform even when the lactic acid kicks in. The aggressive rocker geometry propels you forward and helps you maintain your pace throughout the race.
Ultralight upper with a perfect fit
The new Leno weave textile upper is not only lightweight and breathable, but also wraps around your foot with surgical precision. To ensure the shoe fits like a glove at high speeds, Hoka has equipped the Cielo X1 3.0 with:
- Asymmetrical lacing: Reduces pressure across the instep and optimizes the fit.
- Minimalist tongue: Creates a streamlined profile and a snug feel.
- Seamless heel counter: Minimizes the risk of chafing and irritation.
Grip and durability for the road
The high-quality polyurethane outsole is designed to be both featherlight and durable. It provides exceptional grip on asphalt and track, enabling maximum power transfer with every push-off – even on sharp turns or during surges.
