Built for speed over long distances

The midsole consists of two layers of ultra-responsive PEBA foam, delivering a lightweight, energetic, and gentle ride. Two parallel carbon fiber plates sit between the foam layers, adding responsiveness and efficiency to your stride while helping the construction handle uneven ground and impact.

New to the Tecton X 4, the plates are fully encased in foam. This gives them better protection from external impacts and wear out on the trail. The result is a shoe that combines high responsiveness with the comfort and cushioning you want when maintaining your pace for many miles.

Lightweight and durable Matryx® upper

The upper is made from Matryx® – an extremely lightweight, breathable, and highly durable material. It also absorbs very little water in wet conditions, helping the shoe retain its lightweight feel when the weather and terrain get tougher.

The lacing system has been improved compared to previous versions, giving you more ways to adjust the fit to your foot. This provides a more secure hold and increased stability when the terrain gets more technical or the race starts to feel long.

Vibram Megagrip for maximum grip

The outsole features Vibram Megagrip and traction lugs for reliable grip on both dry and wet surfaces. The optimized tread pattern gives you extra confidence when running over rocks, roots, and slippery sections, so you can trust every step.
