Umara U Gel 1:0,8
A 33ml liquid gel with a glucose (maltodextrin) to fructose carbohydrate ratio of 1:0.8. Each gel provides 20g of carbohydrates + electrolytes. Flavours marked with a + contain caffeine. This rule applies across our entire range, and for this product, the Cola gel contains 21mg of caffeine.
The gel is runny, so you do not need to drink water when taking it. It contains all 4 major electrolytes lost through sweat (sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium) in well-balanced amounts.
Packaged in a long, slim 160x45mm sachet sized to fit both cycling pockets and running tights. It is filled just enough to allow it to be folded once lengthwise if you want it shorter.
Developed by biomedical scientists. Manufactured in accordance with HACCP / GMP
All ingredients are approved by EFSA (European Food Safety Authority).
100% vegan.

Questions & Answers:
Should I take a caffeine gel at the beginning or end of a workout/race? Caffeine gels should be taken continuously throughout the activity. We recommend 1-2 caffeine gels per hour, providing a maintenance dose of caffeine equivalent to half a cup of coffee per hour. This helps maintain caffeine levels in your body if you have loaded up on caffeine with, for example, U Intend before starting. A caffeine gel later in a workout/race can also provide an extra boost at the end of a long race.
How many can I take per hour? You can take up to 5 U Gel per hour, but this only really works when cycling. For running and skiing, the recommendation is 3-4 U Gel per hour if it is your only energy source.
How quickly does U Gel provide energy? A psychological/neurological energising effect occurs directly in the mouth. It then takes 5-10min for the energy to pass through the stomach and reach the small intestine, where carbohydrate absorption for onward transport into the bloodstream and muscles begins, and we can start to feel the effect.
