What size should I choose?

How does the sizing run?

Hoka Clifton Pro fits true to size and follows HOKA’s standard fit.

Have you run in HOKA before?

If you already own a pair of HOKA shoes, use the following as a guide:

Clifton 9: Choose the same size.
Clifton 10: Choose half a size up.
Skyflow, Bondi or Skyward X: Choose the same size.
Mach series: Choose half a size down.

Buying HOKA for the first time?

If you haven’t run in HOKA before, we recommend choosing half a size up from your usual size in other running shoes. This usually gives you good room in front of your toes and a comfortable fit for both training and longer runs.

Fit

Width: Standard.

Clifton Pro has a standard fit with a toe box that provides plenty of room without feeling wide. The shoe comfortably wraps around your foot and works for most runners with a standard foot width.

Hoka shoes generally run a little small, so we find that many people choose half a size larger than in other brands. For example, if you wear size 38 in other brands, we recommend choosing size 38 2/3 in Hoka shoes. We recommend following our size guide below, which is based on how Hoka shoes fit.

Wide models
Wide models are marked "wide" in the product name and are 3-4 mm wider in the upper.

Most Hoka models fit quite similarly in length, but there are a few exceptions:

  • Hoka Bondi SR
  • Hoka Mach 6 and 7
  • Hoka Cielo X1 (2.0 & 3.0)
  • Hoka Speedgoat 7
  • Hoka Tecton X 3 and Tecton X 4
  • Hoka Rocket X 3
  • Hoka Skyward X 2
  • Hoka Speedgoat 7
  • Hoka Mach X 3
  • Hoka models with Gore-Tex (does not apply to Challenger 8 GTX)
  • Hoka lifestyle models

Haven't worn Hoka shoes before?
Then we recommend going up one full size in the models listed above.

Have you worn Hoka shoes before?
Then we recommend going up half a size in the models listed above compared with your usual Hoka size (Bondi etc.)

NOTE: Some models feel large (applies only to women's models) for these models, we recommend choosing your usual shoe size.

  • Hoka W Clifton 10
  • Hoka W Arahi 8
  • Hoka W Arahi SR
  • Hoka W Challenger 8

We recommend following our Hoka size guide:

  1. Place a measuring stick on the floor, right next to a wall.
  2. Place your foot on the measuring stick with your heel against the wall and measure the length of your foot.
  3. Use the table below to find the right size based on your measurement in cm.

Hoka Clifton Pro
The fastest Clifton yet!

The Hoka Clifton Pro takes the renowned comfort of the Clifton series to a whole new level. With a new, more responsive midsole and a more aggressive MetaRocker geometry, this is the shoe for anyone looking for a soft everyday trainer with significantly more energy in every step.
The new PROGLIDE™+ platform with supercritical SCF foam delivers a livelier, smoother running experience than the classic Clifton. The result is a shoe that offers generous cushioning for long runs while feeling fast and efficient when you pick up the pace. The more pronounced rocker geometry helps propel you forward through your stride and provides a smooth, natural heel-to-toe transition.
The breathable engineered mesh upper provides a secure, comfortable fit, while the well-padded heel counter and tongue offer excellent comfort from the very first step. Durable Durabrasion rubber on the outsole provides reliable grip and long-lasting wear for mile after mile on asphalt.
The Clifton Pro is ideal for runners who love the comfort of the Clifton series but want a livelier, more responsive shoe for everyday training, long runs, and speed sessions.
Why we like it:
The Clifton Pro feels like a natural evolution of a classic. The same renowned comfort – but with significantly more energy, better propulsion, and a more enjoyable running experience when you want to run a little faster.
