What size should I choose?

Hoka shoes generally run a little small compared to other brands. If you haven’t tried Hoka shoes before, we recommend going up half a size. Speedgoat has a close-to-foot fit.

Hoka shoes generally run a little small, so we find that many people choose half a size larger than in other brands. For example, if you wear size 38 in other brands, we recommend choosing size 38 2/3 in Hoka shoes. We recommend following our size guide below, which is based on how Hoka shoes fit.

Wide models
Wide models are marked "wide" in the product name and are 3-4 mm wider in the upper.

Most Hoka models fit quite similarly in length, but there are a few exceptions:

  • Hoka Bondi SR
  • Hoka Mach 6 and 7
  • Hoka Cielo X1 (2.0 & 3.0)
  • Hoka Speedgoat 7
  • Hoka Tecton X 3 and Tecton X 4
  • Hoka Rocket X 3
  • Hoka Skyward X 2
  • Hoka Speedgoat 7
  • Hoka Mach X 3
  • Hoka models with Gore-Tex (does not apply to Challenger 8 GTX)
  • Hoka lifestyle models

Haven't worn Hoka shoes before?
Then we recommend going up one full size in the models listed above.

Have you worn Hoka shoes before?
Then we recommend going up half a size in the models listed above compared with your usual Hoka size (Bondi etc.)

NOTE: Some models feel large (applies only to women's models) for these models, we recommend choosing your usual shoe size.

  • Hoka W Clifton 10
  • Hoka W Arahi 8
  • Hoka W Arahi SR
  • Hoka W Challenger 8

We recommend following our Hoka size guide:

  1. Place a measuring stick on the floor, right next to a wall.
  2. Place your foot on the measuring stick with your heel against the wall and measure the length of your foot.
  3. Use the table below to find the right size based on your measurement in cm.

HOKA Speedgoat 7 – The icon, reimagined and improved

Speedgoat 7 has undergone a major update – and we dare say this is the best version of the trail icon yet.

New midsole with even more energy

The biggest update is in the midsole. For the first time, Speedgoat features SCF-EVA (supercritical foamed EVA), delivering an even more responsive and energetic running feel. The familiar, generous cushioning is of course still there – now with a lighter, livelier and bouncier foam that makes every step both more comfortable and more efficient.

Updated upper for improved comfort and durability

The upper is completely new and made from a more durable and comfortable material. The fit is just as reliable and secure as before, but with improved comfort across the entire foot. The updated heel counter also provides increased stability and a more secure foothold on technical terrain.

Vibram® Megagrip – grip you can rely on

The outsole features 5 mm Vibram® Megagrip lugs in an optimized pattern that provides maximum grip on trails, gravel and slippery surfaces. The result is a secure, stable feel that lets you run with confidence, even when the terrain is challenging.

For all types of trail running

The Speedgoat series continues to deliver on every front in trail running. Whether you run short or long distances, easy or fast, on technical trails or wide gravel roads, Speedgoat 7 is a reliable choice.
