When it’s time to race, it’s all about getting the most out of every stride. Hoka racing shoes are designed with a focus on low weight, responsiveness and efficiency – whether the starting line is on asphalt, gravel or trail.

Compared with a traditional daily trainer, racing shoes are built to deliver a livelier, more propulsive running feel. HOKA uses different types of responsive midsoles, geometries and plate constructions depending on the model and intended use. What they have in common is that they’re designed to help you maintain your pace when it really matters.

Hoka road racing shoes

On asphalt, the focus is on low weight, high responsiveness and an efficient stride. Here you’ll find HOKA’s fastest road shoes for everything from shorter races to half marathons and marathons.

The best shoe for you depends on more than just the distance. Some runners prefer an aggressive, distinctly propulsive feel, while others want a little more cushioning and stability over longer distances.

Hoka trail racing shoes

Trail racing comes with different demands. The shoe still needs to be fast and responsive, while also providing grip, control and confidence on changing terrain.

HOKA’s trail racing shoes are designed for speed off the asphalt, from fast, runnable gravel roads to more technical trails. The construction, outsole and cushioning vary between models to suit different types of terrain and races.

Which Hoka racing shoe is right for you?

Start by considering where you’ll be racing, what distance you’re running and what kind of running feel you prefer. A good racing shoe shouldn’t just feel fast for the first few kilometres – it should work with your stride and feel good even when your legs start to tire.

Here you’ll find Hoka racing shoes for both road and trail, from lightweight, aggressive models for maximum speed to more cushioned options for longer races.
